Pentecost Island lies 190 kilometres due north of the capital Port Vila and is known as Pentecôte in French and Pentikos in Bislama.

The Island has become famous throughout the world for the land diving ritual -Nagol or N’gol, occurring every Saturday between April and June. This ritual influenced the invention of bungee jumping by Kiwi AJ Hackett. Watch local men and boys as young as seven jumps from a 20 – 30metre high human-made tower with only a vine attached to their legs.
