A holiday at Spicers Tamarind Retreat is an extraordinary experience, where this Asian-influenced oasis will make you feel like you’re a world away. Set on 18 acres of lush rainforest, guests can enjoy a swimming pool with a heated spa, the brilliant Thai influenced restaurant where The Tamarind Cooking School offers the opportunity to learn the intricacies of a range of cuisines from expert chefs in a state of the art cooking school, overlooking inspirational gardens in the heart of a beautiful rainforest.
Long course cooking classes run for 4 hours from 11:00am – 3:00pm every Saturday at $195 per person, including apron, lunch and wine (Learn French, Thai or Italian on different dates – enquire for details).
There are just 14 freestanding villas that are large and comfortable. Rooms typically include a fireplace, private outdoor hot tub, lounge area and a kitchenette with a Nespresso machine and local Maleny milk. Bathrooms are generous in size, with dual showerheads. Some two-bedroom villas have a cocoon bathtub and day bed.
Spicers Tamarind Retreat is located 70 minutes from Brisbane Airport and 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Airport.
