With HeliSpirit, your Outback Luxury Helicopter Safari is a private experience.
A fantastic option for those that have seen the Kimberley Coast via a Kimberley Cruise and want to explore inland. The heli fleet is varied and will depart with just two people. Numbers are limited to 12 people at a maximum as the destinations you stay at are small and exclusive.
The helicopters we use for our safaris are turbine engine driven and supported by world-class maintenance engineers at our Kununurra facility. Feel sure that the whole team will look at you after the first experience at booking, through to your skilled pilot who knows the area intimately and the beautiful machine that will carry you through the outback Kimberley and NT.
The safaris are private, and therefore you can choose a date that suits you. April and May offer the best time for waterfalls, and the landscape is still green after the Wet monsoonal season. June to August are the cooler months, with September starting to warm up as we head towards year-end.
Accommodation is at Bullo River Station and El Questro Homestead. Both are unique lodges in exquisite locations offering diverse wilderness experiences.
$16,500 per person all inclusive. (2021)
The price includes everything except reserve list drinks at each location – these are at your own expense.
Please ask for the single supplement cost.
You can choose to extend your stay at either of the overnight destinations or upgrade your room type at El Questro Homestead. This will entail additional costs, which we will provide on request.
Luggage is restricted to 10kg per person.
You will be supplied with a quality canvas and leather Safari bag to use on tour and to keep.
Laundry services are available at all locations.
Most important items are:

A small backpack is ideal to carry with you at all times to hold your; water bottle, sunscreen, bathers, small towel, hat and camera. A backpack allows you to be “hands-free” on walks.
Arrive into Kununurra where you will be met and taken to Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments for your pre-tour stay. Your pilot will meet you over a drink to become acquainted and to discuss your helicopter safari.
Accommodation and airport transfers included – meals for this night are at your own cost.

Overnight: Bullo River Station
For an authentic cattle station experience you will be travelling to the perfect place. Your days can be filled with dust, sweat and the exhilaration of station life or by simply enjoying a gorgeous lunch by a billabong, taking a sneaky quick dip at a beautiful swimming hole or discovering Aboriginal Rock Art, all in this stunning outback country that Bullo River Station is situated on.
The station has a 4,000 strong herd of Brahman-cross cattle, spread across half a million acres and managing them is included in the list of daily tasks to do. You can get out on the station in a 4WD, all terrain vehicle or on horseback.
Activities include bore checks, lick runs and cattle yard work. There are poddy calves to be fed and muster training to do. Or just decide to take a farm tour to learn about everything they do. When two feet is your best way to explore, well trodden trails by cattle or wallabies will take you to billabongs, water holes and river pools where you can watch (and listen) to the wildlife. Take in the breathtaking views as you traverse along the gorges & ridgelines.
The iconic Bullo River Station homestead is situated on the convergence of the Victoria and Bullo Rivers. The generous and comfortable rooms, tasty wholesome meals and cold drinks at the end of the day will revive you after spending a day enjoying the stations activities. Breakfast is served outside on the verandah. Lunch can be a picnic basket filled with goodies to enjoy by a waterhole. Dinner is best enjoyed under the stars in the light of a campfire with new friends.
Spirits and Reserve list wines, are at your own expense.

Here you will join a private overland tour that comprises a drive to the massif and a guided walk through the striped sandstone domes and into Cathedral Gorge, named due to its excellent acoustics.
